health-insurance-plans, 2022, colorado, new-mexico

Looking for health coverage in 2022?  It’s almost time to get shopping for health insurance.  State health insurance exchanges, including Colorado and New Mexico will open up on November 1st, 2021.

Enrollment Opportunities

During Open Enrollment for 2022, you’ll want to make sure you have your plan locked in by the middle of December.  This way your health insurance coverage will start on the first day of the new year.

If you miss that mid-December sign-up window, you’ll have until January 15th to sign up.  Insurance coverage won’t begin until the first day of February, 2022 if you choose your plan during this time.  The next planned open enrollment is November of 2022 to plan for next year’s coverage!

There are always qualifying reasons outside of Open Enrollment that could enable signup during off enrollment periods.

Financial Assistance

Many folks can qualify for a subsidies to reduce monthly premiums, and out of pocket costs.  It’s necessary to take into account the number of individuals enrolling in your plan, and income levels.
