With Open Enrollment for 2021 health plans upon us, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released its annual Medicare Advantage and Part D star ratings for 2021.

Overall, there are fewer total plans available across the nation, though three, four, and five star plans are available in similar numbers to last year. The report notes, quality ratings of Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D drug plans remains strong for the new year.
49% of Medicare Advantage plans with prescription drug coverage have an overall rating of four stars or higher.
