Recreational Vehicle Insurance & Tips to Help you enjoy the ride

Need to insure your RV? HomeTown Insurance & Financial Services is here for you.

Traveling with a recreational vehicle can mean getting to see lots of sites, and taking some of the conveniences of home with you on your travels.

First of all, you’ll want to make sure you are set up with the right insurance policy for your RV.  Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheels, Pop-Up Campers, Class A, B, and C Motorhomes; they’ll all need coverage!

You can protect your assets with coverages similar to what are offered with auto insurance, but you’ll also be able to add coverage for the accessories you have on your RV.

HomeTown Insurance & Financial services has the resources to get you squared away with the right recreational vehicle policy for your lifestyle!  Contact us for a free quote.

Once you’re covered, get ready for the road!  We found 10 pro tips that can help you maximize the fun, feel great instead of sore from a long drive, and make the most out of your trip for you and your passengers.

So, the folks at Camping World, published this post with some great ways to make sure you enjoy your RVing 🙂

Here’s a breakdown:

  1. Top of the list!  Make a thorough safety check.  This would include going over items for your RV, and making sure a family member or friend knows your plans.
  2. Careful Route Planning and Frequent Stops are key to safety.
  3. Plan and Prep Meals ahead of time.  You don’t want to have to scramble and grab something to put in your belly that will only make it ache down the road.
  4. Exercise and Stretch during breaks!
  5. Keep Fuel in the Tank!  It’s good to try and not let your tank get below halfway.  You might not know when that next fueling station will appear.
  6. Try to not drive too far after dark.
  7. Allow for an extra day or two of travel for unforseen circumstances.
  8. Consider your passengers entertainment ahead of time!  Cranky passengers won’t help make those good memories you had in mind for your adventures.
  9. Keep that schedule flexible!
  10. Enjoy the Ride!
