Health insurance special enrollment during tax time, is a way you can get up to date on your insurance even if you missed open enrollment. April 15th is upon us, which means taxes are due! It also means there’s a special box you can still check if you are waiting to file your taxes till the last minute 😉
This is a way to connect Coloradans with free, or low-cost health insurance plans to cover the remainder of the year.
When filing Colorado state returns, simply check the box on form DR 0104. If you or a member of your household doesn’t have health insurance, this will enable Connect for Health Colorado to determine a free to low-cost plan for you.
If you file by April 15, and checked the box, you should receive an email or letter from Connect for Health Colorado on how to use your special tax time enrollment.
